Terms of ServiceAi-Vitae Service Agreement

1. Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order with Ai-Vitae, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not place an order or use our service.

2. About Ai-Vitae

Ai-Vitae is an AI-powered CV and career document service based in Ireland. We use large language models to rewrite and optimise your CV, cover letters, and LinkedIn profile based solely on the information you provide. We operate at ai-vitae.store and can be reached at orders@ai-vitae.store.

All prices are in Euro (EUR) and inclusive of VAT where applicable. Prices are subject to change; any order already paid is honoured at the price shown at checkout.

4. AI Processing — Important Disclosures

4.1 Output Quality Depends on Input Quality

The quality of your rewritten documents directly reflects the quality and completeness of the information you provide. A CV with vague descriptions, missing dates, or incomplete work history will produce a rewritten CV with the same limitations. We strongly encourage you to provide as much accurate, specific detail as possible.

4.2 Automated Processing

Orders are processed fully automatically without human review. Documents are generated by AI and delivered directly to your email. Under GDPR, you have the right to request human review of any AI-generated output — contact us at orders@ai-vitae.store to exercise this right.

5. Order Process and Payment

5.1 Placing an Order

• Select your package and any add-ons, then proceed to checkout
• Upload your existing CV and enter the job description you are targeting
• Payment in full is required before processing begins
• You will receive a confirmation email with your order reference immediately after your order is queued

5.2 Payment

• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
• Accepted payment methods: major credit and debit cards
• All transactions are in EUR

6. Delivery

6.1 Delivery Times

• Standard delivery: Within 24–48 hours of order placement. Under normal conditions documents are typically delivered much sooner, but this is our committed maximum.
• One-Day Delivery add-on: Prioritised queue placement; we target delivery within 24 hours
• Delivery times may vary due to demand, system load, or third-party AI provider availability. They are not contractual guarantees beyond the 24–48 hour window stated above.

6.2 Delivery Method

• All documents are delivered by email to the address you provided at checkout
• You are responsible for providing a correct and accessible email address
• Check your spam/junk folder if you do not receive your documents within the expected timeframe
• We are not liable for non-delivery caused by incorrect email addresses or email filtering

7. Your Responsibilities

• Accuracy: You must provide truthful, accurate information about your work history and qualifications. We are not responsible for inaccuracies in your original CV or their reproduction in the output.
• Proofreading: You are responsible for reviewing and proofreading all delivered documents before using them in job applications.
• Prohibited use: You may not use our service to create CVs containing fabricated employment history, false qualifications, or any information intended to deceive a prospective employer. Such use constitutes a breach of these terms and may be subject to legal consequences under applicable law.

8. Satisfaction and Refunds

8.1 Satisfaction Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with your rewritten documents, contact us within 7 days of delivery at orders@ai-vitae.store with your order reference and a description of your concerns. We will work with you to address the issue.

8.2 Refund Policy

• Full refund: If we fail to deliver your documents within 7 days of your order (excluding weekends and public holidays).
• Discretionary refund: If you are genuinely dissatisfied and have contacted us within 7 days of delivery, we will consider a partial or full refund on a case-by-case basis.
• No refund: Once you have confirmed acceptance of your documents, or after 7 days from delivery have elapsed.
• As these are digital services delivered immediately, you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal under EU consumer law (14-day cooling-off period) does not apply once delivery has begun and you have consented to immediate delivery at checkout.

8.3 Refund Process

• Refund requests must be submitted in writing to orders@ai-vitae.store
• Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days via the original payment method
• Stripe processing fees (where applicable) may be deducted

9. Intellectual Property

• You retain full ownership of your personal information and career history
• The rewritten documents delivered to you become your property upon receipt
• You grant Ai-Vitae a limited licence to process your CV content solely for the purpose of delivering your order
• We will not share, sell, or use your CV content for any purpose other than delivering your service
• We may use fully anonymised, non-identifiable examples for illustrative or marketing purposes only with explicit consent

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law:

• Ai-Vitae's total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your order
• We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental loss, including loss of employment opportunity
• We do not guarantee that your rewritten CV will result in job interviews, offers, or any other employment outcome
• We are not liable for delays or failures caused by third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI), payment processors, or email delivery services

11. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our service to:

• Create documents containing fabricated or fraudulent employment history or qualifications
• Misrepresent yourself to a prospective employer in any unlawful way
• Attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or overload our systems
• Submit harmful, illegal, or offensive content

12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including internet outages, third-party AI provider downtime, natural disasters, or government actions. In such cases we will endeavour to notify you and fulfil your order as soon as reasonably possible.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

• These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland
• Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts
• We will always attempt to resolve disputes informally in good faith before any formal proceedings
• EU consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email where we have your address. The version in force at the time of your order applies to that order. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
